Barbara Smith Jones, Dramatic Soprano, known for her ease of performing either in German dramatic genre or verismo romantic operas, has been praised for her seamless rounded tone.
Ms. Jones performed in
Bangkok as Fricka in Wagner's Rheingold February 2006. She will return to
Bangkok in December of 2007 as Fricka. She recently delighted audiences with the Witch in Hansel and Gretel with Kitsap Opera of
Washington, where she has performed numerous roles and has been featured in their gala concerts. December 2003 she portrayed the Governess in Turn of the Screw with Bangkok Opera. She has performed principal Wagnerian characters with regional and national opera companies, to include: Brunnhilde in Die Walkure and Siegfried, Sieglinde in Die Walkure, Elsa in Lohengrin, as well as six of the eight valkyries in Die Walkure. Her other roles include Santuzza in Cavalleria Rusticana, Leonora in Fidelio, Ariadne in Ariadne auf Naxos, Countess in Le Nozze di Figaro, Salome, and Lady Macbeth in Macbeth.
She has performed roles in Washington East Opera's Magic Flute; Capitol Opera,
Sacramento's La Traviata; Kitsap Opera's Madama Butterfly. She has performed with San Francisco Opera, New Orleans Opera, Millennium Opera and Tacoma Opera and has been featured in concerts internationally (International Wagner Society in Bangkok Thailand, Goethe Institute Bangkok, Bloedel Reserve Washington, U.S. Embassy Bangkok, San Francisco Symphony, and New Orleans Symphony, to mention a few).
Ms. Smith Jones is the recipient of numerous awards from the Wagner Society of New York (1996, 1999, and 2001) and Wagner Society of Northern California (2000); she has completed the masters course of the American Institute of Musical Studies,
Graz, Austria.
Lyric tenor Gino Lucchetti of
Seattle is well-known for his distinguished artistry, impeccable timing, and what the legendary soprano Jane Eaglen called “high notes so natural and gorgeous that no one should mess with them.” Gino most recently appeared as Don José in Lyric Opera Northwest’s production of Carmen, as Turiddu in Cavalleria Rusticana with Concert Opera of Seattle, and as the tenor leads in Tacoma Opera’s production of Donizetti’s Viva la Mamma and Black Box Theater’s productions of NedRorem’s Three Sisters and Bertha. He has performed roles for Seattle Opera and the Seattle Symphony, and is a regular performer for the Seattle Opera Guild, where his roles have included Faust, Duke of Mantua, Manrico, Rodolfo, Nemorino, Don José, Des Grieux (Puccini and Massenet), MacDuff, Pollione, Florestan, Calaf and King Kaspar. Gino’s oratorio repertoire includes Verdi’s Requiem, Mendelssohn’s Elijah, Rossini’s Stabat Mater, and Handel’s Messiah and Judas Maccabeus. Gino’s upcoming roles include Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly with Lyric Opera Northwest and Alfred in Die Fledermaus with Bellevue Opera. A past member of the Seattle Opera Young Artists Program, Gino was selected by Seattle Symphony as one of only three
Pacific Northwest singers to participate in a public master class taught by Jane Eaglen. He also has recorded “La Serenata,” a collection of popular Italian songs and arias; appears in the popular Gabriel Knight series of video games produced by Sierra On-line; and sings frequently for festivals, private events and restaurants.

Misha Myznikov (Baritone) is a native of
Russia who came to
Seattle to perform at Folklife. He is a member of Seattle Opera where he has performed many supportive roles. He has also performed many roles for Kitsap Opera, Renegade Opera and Hans Wolf.

Noel Curtis (Coloratura Soprano) has performed with Seattle Opera in numerous productions including Faust, Tosca, Carmen, Othello, Die Meistersinger and Aida. Her roles have included the Mother in Amahl and the Night Visitors and recently Maria in The Sound of Music. Noel has performed in many of
Seattle’s elegant restaurants. She was a principal soloist for the Whidbey Island Choral and sang many principal roles with Whidbey Island Musical Theater. Noel currently teaches voice, piano and is the director of La Bella Coro.

Bass-baritone Eric Molgard's stage roles have included Nashville Operas productions of Verdi's Otello, Carlisle Floyd's Susannah and Mozart's Magic Flute. He has also sung the Speaker for Opera Pacifica's Magic Flute in
Olympia. He toured with Northwest Opera in Schools Etc Feburary through May 2004 performing the role of Coppelius in The Tales of Hoffmann, and sang Doctor Grenvil with Kitsap Opera in La Traviata. He performed the Pirate King in Gilbert and Sullivan's Pirates of Penzance for
Northwest Savoyards in
Everett. In addition to his operatic work he has performed in numerous concert and oratorio performances throughout the
United States and
Great Britain.

Victoria Chaussee (Mezzo Soprano) “sings opera favorites beautifully” – The Seattle Weekly. Ms. Chaussee has performed with Seattle Opera in their productions of Manon, Tosca, Eugene Onegin, Otello and Faust. She appeared with Kitsap Opera as Mama Lucia in their production of Cavalleria Rusticana and as Maddalena in Rigoletto. She performed in Hansel & Gretel as the Mother with Renegade Opera. Her other roles include the Mother in Amahl and the Night Visitors , Ludmilla in The Bartered Bride and Diana in Thespis. She was a soloist for the Whidbey Island Bach Festival and has sung the national anthem for the Seattle Mariners. She is a former first place winner of the National Association of Teachers of Singing NW Division Competition. Ms. Chaussee is a graduate of
Seattle
Pacific
University and attended the American Institute of Musical Studies in
New York City.
